What an epic day at Elements Resort, Byron Bay! Lady Bella team captured the day and completed the bridal parties hair and makeup artistry! We adore being with the ladies all morning – styling, laughing and making sure the morning runs smoothly. With SEVEN (7), yes seven bridesmaids it could have been a disaster… I swear it was a dream! One of the most chilled wedding mornings we have encountered! The wedding morning really does filter down from the bride’s energy. Kristie was a dream to work with. Not only was she a stunning canvas to transform, her personality really made everyone feel calm and upbeat. I have to give a special shout out to Kristie’s Maid of Honour, her sister. As a hair and makeup artist herself she took control of the schedule and made our job effortless!
We headed over to the boys 15mins before the ceremony to find 7 men running around like headless chooks! Apparently one of the Groomsmen had… 2 x LEFT shoes! You can only laugh right! Now all the women were thinking the same thing: Didn’t you try them on? Didn’t you check everything before you flew from Melbourne? The Groomsmen had gone to a lot of trouble matching their shoes and even shoelaces! No one noticed and it’s a good story to tell after the wedding 🙂
Elements Resort in Byron Bay is big enough to hold a 400 guest wedding and somehow is private and peaceful. The resort backs right onto Belongil Beach – one of my favourite location’s for photographs. We have been shooting their for nearly 10 years! Element’s have a ceremony space on a grassy hill with main beach + Byron Bay Lighthouse in the background. It does get windy up there so don’t wear a short dress ;P The view’s are spectacular and all of Kristie and Michael’s 100 guests who flew up from Melbourne loved it!
The reception was held right on the beach edge with a bohemian and naked tipi! Guests were able to enjoy canapés watching the sun set, relaxing throughout the boho luxe styling… shoes optional!
I’m not the best writer, ill let the images speak for themselves 🙂
